Rock balancing or stone balancing (stone or rock stacking) is an art, discipline, or hobby in which rocks are naturally balanced on top of one another in various positions without the use of adhesives, wires, supports, rings or any other contraptions which would help maintain the construction's balance. Rock balancing (also known as Cairns) has carried spiritual meaning across cultures for centuries. The act of balancing stones carries with it a practice of patience and a physical effort of creating balance. Each rock can signify an intention of grace for thankfulness, or offered up for another in need.
The design for this "Balance Rocks" women's tank top came from a collaboration with a friend who asked me to take one of her friend's photographs and create a shirt design for a birthday gift. I came up with this design and she graciously allowed me to offer the final design in my shop!
It comes in two different styles: a racer-back as well as a wide strap version.
